CORTIS “FaSHioN”
CONCERT VISUALS
MOTION DESIGN / AUDIO MIXING

Contains HARSH, Strobing Visuals.
Please proceed with caution.

This project explores the creation of a concert graphic for the Korean boy band CORTIS, centered on their viral track “FaSHioN.” The visual direction captures the song’s hype and energetic sound while staying aligned with the original music video’s aesthetic.
The composition combines a “menacing” dithered aesthetic, 3D elementswith experimental typography, mixing serif and sans-serif type, alongside strobe effects, and bold color - Elements heavily inspired from Keith Ape’s “It G Ma”, DPR’s “Eung Freestyle” music videos and Charli XCX’s “brat” visual branding.

Design Concept

The design concept for this project is experimental, drawing inspiration from underground Korean hip-hop and trap artists such as Keith Ape, LIVE, Sik-K, Punchnello, Owen Ovadoz, and FlowSik. Charli XCX’s “brat“ concert visuals also influenced the use of strobe effects.

Technology Used

Animated elements were created in Adobe After Effects and Touch Designed using audio responsive component.

Planning Stage, and Asset Creation
To complete the visuals, assets were created with various design programs. Below are sample assets we used to create the project. The project was collaborative, so the creation of these assets were distributed into two persons and later combined.

Afterthought
This was a fun project as this helped me learn to be more confident with After Effects. Our visual direction for this project was a little niche, but we were quite satisfied with it because ours looked different.
